Tehran accuses Canada of acting as a puppet of Israel and the west after embassy closures over Syria and nuclear concernsIran accused Canada of “hostile behaviour” under Israeli and British influence on Saturday, threatening “immediate” retaliation to Ottawa’s decision to cut ties with Tehran. Canada said on Friday that it was closing its embassy in Tehran and gave Iranian diplomats five days to leave the country, branding the Islamic Republic as the “most significant threat to global peace and security”.
