Maldives president in hiding after claiming he was forced to resign at gunpoint
The ousted Maldives’ president Mohamed Nasheed was in hiding on Wednesday night after he was released from custody following violent clashes in the capital Male between his supporters and the country’s police which had backed a coup against his government.
