Events around the world commemorate victims of genocide as survey shows social media may hold role in speaking out against hatredHolocaust Memorial Day will be marked across the world today with a series of events including services, talks, concerts and vigils remembering not just those who died in the second world war but the victims of many genocides since. There will be ceremonies at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, in Israel, and at Auschwitz itself in Poland.
