But the tennis court was nearly vertical; the sunloungers were piled up against the deck rail, and the slide was jutting out almost horizontally into the channel, no more than 100 yards across, separating the stricken Costa Concordia from the rocks of Punta Gabbianara (“Seagull Point”).
